Rice is the mostly using Primary Food to Karnataka and South Indian Peoples. Peoples making many types of Dishes by Rice. Rice is called as Akki in Kannada Language and ‘Anna’ is calling for after cooked the rice.

- Avalaki: Avalaki is the flat rice in shape which is dried using ingredients such as turmeric powder, onion, peanuts, green chilli.
- Mandakki: This is same as Avalaki, but it seems different to look and in taste also.
- Chitrana: Cooked rice mixing with oil, onion, turmeric powder.
- Mosaranna ( Curd rice): Cooked rice fried with curd, sometimes mixing fruits.

- Idli: It is a savory cake which is famous in India. Idli batter (equipment to make idli) is need to make this dish. Idli is eaten at breakfast, snack, even in Dinner and Lunch. Origin of Idli is Primarily South india. Idli is most often eaten in South India States.
- Dosa (Dose): Dosa has history, some literature mentioned dosa in their script in 100 BC. Origin of Dosa is Udupi, there are several types of Dosa’s such as Masala Dosa, Plain Dosa, Set Dosa.
- Akki Rotti: Rotti like Bread Item, shape like flat and rounded. Mixing cooked rice and rice powder with some water and shaping flat rounded.
- Chakkuli: This is like snacks and can keep longer.

- Paputtu: This is the Rice cake which is like idli but it flat rounded.
